UNIOSUN TRAINS ONE HUNDRED (100) STAFF ON ICT SKILL
Osun
State University through the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), under the
auspices of the Digital Bridges Institute (DBI) trained 100 staff of the university
cutting across Colleges, Central Administration and other units.
The
ICT training programme tagged Advance Digital Appreciation Programme for
Tertiary Institution (ADAPTI) and held between Monday 5th –Friday 9th June, 2017 at the CISCO Laboratory in the
Main Campus of the university focused on the use of Microsoft Office suite 2013
and the use of internet.
Members
of staff participated actively in the training which was hands on and were
equipped with skills that would enhance their effectiveness in their respective
units. The delegation from the Digital Bridges Institute (DBI) was led by Mr.
Ikenna Ogbanufe.
Other
members of the team include three instructors, namely; Mr. Chris Onyeose , Mr.
Tobi Durojaiye and Mr. Ugwu Uchenna. C. On the side of the university the
workshop was facilitated by the Quality Assurance Directorate and supported by
the Directorate of Information Management and Technology Centre (IMTC).
The
5-day programme also received the goodwill of the University Management by a
visit of the Management led by the
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic; Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye in company
with Mr. Gafar A. A. Shittu, Ag. Registrar; Mr. Samson A. Adegbite, Acting
Bursar; Dr. L. A. Kehinde, Director Quality Assurance and Representative of the
University Librarian.
